Rob Goossens once started out as a controversial TV critic, a bit like Victor Vlam, but nowadays he only repeats boring texts in RTL Boulevard. Is Yvonne not for him?
Yvonne Coldeweijer is still looking for a number of high-profile regular guests for her program De Juice Show on Net5, which has been postponed indefinitely. Reportedly, we will soon see Tamara Elbaz sitting there at the desk, but Maxime Meiland has withdrawn and Angela de Jong has refused a request to participate.
Rob to Yvonne?
Is Rob Goossens not an option? That sharp TV critic will certainly still be hiding somewhere inside him, but at RTL Boulevard it just doesn’t come out. Moreover, last year it turned out that Yvonne is friends with Rob and his girlfriend Veranika. They sent flowers when her boyfriend was in the hospital. “This will brighten up your whole day!”
When asked if it is an option, Rob answers in the Weekend: “That would be very complicated with my Boulevard contract. So no, that’s not going to happen. Besides, I’m still enjoying it after almost six years.”
No sharp tongue
Doesn’t Rob think it’s a shame that RTL Boulevard no longer has a sharp tongue? “I hear that often. But everyone who says that is actually a kind of pyromaniac who thinks: which gas tank can I set on fire today with my matches?”
He continues: “I understand that need, because I also enjoy watching explosions, but we try to do our work at Boulevard seriously. That also means: not shouting. So if I don’t like something, I don’t suddenly pretend that I think something is very bad.”
Peter and Bridget
Rob has a good relationship with his Boulevard colleagues, although things were difficult with some initially, he concludes. “Peter R. de Vries and Bridget Maasland didn’t really know what was happening to them when I arrived.”
“Bridget has been through a lot, so it takes a while before you trust her, out of self-protection. But once you do, she is a super nice, great colleague. She seems distant at first, but I now know that she is not.”
