The 2026 Winter Olympics start with the opening ceremony in Milan. The appearance of a pop star has already been confirmed.
The Winter Olympics start in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo in February. It starts with the opening ceremony on February 6th at the San Siro in Milan – not only the athletes will be there, other well-known personalities will also appear.
As the organizers announced, US pop star and singer Mariah Carey will be one of the main acts of the evening. She should enrich the start of the 2026 Olympics “with an unforgettable performance,” according to a statement.
The American is following in the footsteps of Céline Dion and Lady Gaga, who sang at the opening ceremony of the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris. No other acts have yet been announced for the event in Milan under the motto “Harmony”.
It is already certain that the Italian ballet dancer Roberto Bolle will perform at the closing ceremony in Verona. The motto of the final event is “Beauty in Action”, or in German: “Beauty in Motion”.
