For a good year and a half, people eager to learn came to the TRANSITION HOUSE to take advantage of the educational offerings of the Lübeck University of Technology, the University of Lübeck, the Lübeck University of Music, the Open Channel SH and the Academy of the University Hospital Schleswig-Holstein.

The TRANSITION HOUSE will be open until December 19, 2025. The renovation work will then begin to make the building usable for the inner city high schools. The dedicated teachers from the Lübeck learning location of the Digital Learning Campus will probably be able to offer their courses again in the Haerder Center from the beginning of February 2026.

“We are very happy that the Lübeck learning location lives on in the heart of Lübeck. We are happy about every visitor!” says the Vice President for Studies and Digitalization at TH Lübeck, Prof. Jochen Abke.

About the Digital Learning Campus Lübeck as a learning location

Under the motto “Lübeck learns the future”, seven partners have come together to form the Digital Learning Campus Lübeck as a learning location: Lübeck University of Technology, University of Lübeck, Lübeck University of Music, Open Canal Lübeck, UKSH AcademyEmil Possehl School and TiBO from Bad Oldesloe.

The goal of the Digital Learning Campus Lernort Lübeck is to build modern learning locations and offerings for important future skills such as artificial intelligence, media skills and new technologies in Lübeck and the region. There is a central learning location in the heart of the city. This is supplemented by other learning locations in Lübeck, for example at the universities and the Emil Possehl School, as well as a central location of the network partner TiBO in Bad Oldesloe (see: https://dlc.sh/lernregionen/5).

In addition to the digital learning offerings on the DLC online platform, these educational locations create a second, physical access to learning offerings on the Digital Learning Campus in Lübeck. More than 30 associated partners from the city, industry and various associations support the Digital Learning Campus Lernort Lübeck project.

The offerings of the Digital Learning Campus Lernort Lübeck are aimed at people of all ages and educational backgrounds and are generally free of charge.
