Friday Quinn Hughes – a parcel promise that circulated in the supermarket Zeev Buium got off to a flying start in the jersey of his new club, the Vancouver Canucks.

The match hosted by the New Jersey Devils didn’t even get old halfway through the opening set, when Buium had recorded a goal and an assist.

Buium played in the Canucks’ second pairing and first advantage, as if in Hughes’ place. A little less than 20 minutes of playing time was recorded in the statistics.

Also the other big piece of the shop, the center Marco Rossi immediately got a big credit. He led the first chain with his flanks Brock Boeser and Jake DeBrusk.

Liam Ohgrenthe third piece of the boom shop, operates in a quad chain with small minutes.

The youngest of the Hughes brothers series, playing as a pack like Quinn Luke scored in the second period to bring the Devils into the match. They were responsible for the beautiful preliminary work Jesper Bratt and Dawson Mercer.

The Canucks did not sparkle, but a sharp start led by Buium led to a 2–1 victory.

Despite the win, the Canucks are still solidly the jumbo of their division.

“Big piece”

Quinn Hughes was the Canucks’ skipper and by far the most important individual on the team. During seven and a half seasons, he played 459 games, accumulated 432 (61+371) power points and won the Norris in the 2023–24 season.

– This has certainly not been an easy day, Canucks GM Patrik Allvin commented on the NHL’s website.

– Quinn Hughes has been a big part of the organization, a great person and a great player, but we are also excited about the players we got here.

In addition to the Buium–Rossi–Öhgren trio, the Canucks received a first-round pick for next summer from the Minnesota Wild.

“Hockey crazy”

Quinn Hughes is an NHL superstar. PDO

Quinn Hughes debuted in his new jersey Finnish time early on Monday. The Wild host the Boston Bruins.

– Zeev Buium, Marco Rossi and Liam Öhgren are great guys and great puck players, Wild’s GM by Bill Guerin states on the NHL’s website.

– It’s definitely a tough place to part with the guys we’ve reserved and brought up, but when a player of Quinn’s level comes up and there’s a chance to get him, it has a price. We were ready to pay for it.

Hughes’ contract runs until the summer of 2027. The Wild’s intention is of course to sign an extension contract at some point, but the task may prove to be difficult, as Hughes wants his brothers Jack’s and alongside Luke to the New Jersey Devils.

– I believe that Quinn will really enjoy himself here, Guerin commented.

– He is crazy about hockey. There is no better place for a hockey player than Minnesota.
