BERLIN (dpa-AFX) – After talks with a US delegation in Berlin, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyj has left the Chancellery. A photographer from the German Press Agency observed this in the evening.
German government circles also said that Zelensky had left the Chancellery after around five and a half hours. Zelensky’s communications adviser, Dmytro Lytwyn, told Ukrainian news agency RBK-Ukraina that talks would continue on Monday.
Chancellor Friedrich Merz (CDU) left the government headquarters a little earlier, German government circles said. It initially remained unclear in which format the talks would continue on Monday.
It was still about the central questions of the cessions of territory demanded by Russia, the security guarantees for Kiev and the question of the use of the Russian Central Bank’s assets frozen in the EU, it said./ast/DP/zb
