Emma Aicher had a lot of tailwind for the Super-G. But the German caused a moment of shock, unlike the day before.

Aicher stumbled in the upper section of the route after a jump and fell. She slid down the slope, her stick shot away and she remained lying there. The race was interrupted amid the horrified faces of the competitors for Sofia Goggia.

Aicher’s airbag also opened. But a short time later the ski racer stood again and the race continued. ARD expert Neureuther said: “Oh, that was a scary moment.” Teammate Kira Weidle-Winkelmann also had nothing to do with the podium. She said of Aicher’s fall: “Luckily nothing happened to her.”
