An attack took place on the popular Australian beach Bondi Beach, near Sydney, on Sunday around 6:30 PM (local time). At least ten people are said to have been killed, including one of the suspected shooters, reports include ABC News based on a statement from the local police. A second suspected perpetrator would be in critical condition to be in.

According to a spokesperson for the New South Wales ambulance service, at least thirteen injured people have been taken to hospital, Reuters news agency reports. Officers were also injured.

Images on social media show at least two gunmen shooting from a bridge towards the beach with large guns.
