Crime boss Ronnie Phelan wants to retire from a life of crime in Yle’s new series The Liverpool Mafia.
Before retiring, Ronnie plans to make one last big drug deal and then choose his successor. There are two options: Ronnie’s long-time right-hand man Michael Kavanagh and Ronnie’s moody son Jamie Phelan. However, not everything goes according to plan. A criminal empire is rocked by an insider’s betrayal when Colombian cocaine goes missing. The culprit must be found and punished, in the style of the Liverpool mafia.
Plays Ronnie Sean Bean. Julie Graham is seen as the matriarch of the family, i.e. Ronnie’s wife and Jamie’s mother. Jamie is on the other hand Jack McMullen. The role of Michael, who dreams of a family addition with his girlfriend Diana, is interpreted by James Nelson-Joyce. Playing Diana Hannah Onslow.

The Brits fell in love with the crime drama, praised even by critics, to such an extent that the second season has already been filmed this autumn. It hasn’t gone quite as expected. The Daily Mail reported last week that the film crew had a bad time in Spain. The events of the series take place partly in Marbella. The real criminals had broken into the apartment rented by the film crew while the series was being filmed.
