The series was started in 2018 by Koen De Brabander and Bart Vantieghem, who is both a writer and co-writer. “When Dirk De fauw was elected, we immediately thought: we can do something with this,” says Vantieghem.
Mayor De fauw can laugh about it himself and enjoys playing the game. According to the makers, it is not yet the end of the series: they ultimately aim for twelve albums.
