Norway’s handball players have reached the World Cup final for the tenth time.

The Olympic champions clearly won their semi-final against co-hosts the Netherlands on Friday in Rotterdam with 35:25 (18:14) and will now face the German team in the final on Sunday (5:30 p.m./ARD).

For Norway, which suffered a final defeat against France two years ago, it is about their fifth World Cup gold.

“Norway is certainly incredibly strong. It will be a huge task for us. It is an honor to play in the final against the best team,” said national coach Markus Gaugisch: “But we are good. We wouldn’t be in the final if we were bad. We are still hungry.”
