The Dutch national team will play against Ecuador on Tuesday, March 31 in the Philips Stadium in Eindhoven. The match is all about the preparation for the World Cup in the United States, Canada and Mexico, the football association reports.
The last time the Dutch met the South Americans was at the previous World Cup in the group stage in Qatar. The match, which took place on November 25, 2022, ended in a 1-1 draw. Cody Gakpo scored the Dutch goal.
Last week, the Dutch team was paired with Japan, Tunisia and the winner of play-off B: Ukraine, Sweden, Poland or Albania in the World Cup draw. Four days earlier, the Dutch national team will play against Norway in Amsterdam. Both countries also participate in the world championship.
Just before the World Cup, the Dutch team will play two more practice matches. It is not yet known who the opponents will be.
