Novara wins the Piedmontese derby against Pinerolo, gaining 3 important points in a tour de force that saw Bernardi’s girls on the pitch for the third time in seven days. And on Sunday we will be at San Giovanni in Marignano.

At Pala Igor, Agil won the Piedmont derby against Pinerolo 3-1, in the match valid for the sixth return day of the A-1 championship. Bernardi’s girls, in a tour de force of 3 matches in seven days, gained three precious points for the ranking. For the home team, Tolok (20 points) and Alsmeier (18 and MVP) did well in attack, while Squarcini was back in the centre. In the Italian Cup, once the calendar has been made official, the Zanzare will take the field on December 30th at 8pm at the Pala Igor against Numia Vero Volley Milano.

The home team started off strong, taking the lead to 8-5, then extending to 14-9 thanks to the good work of Ishikawa. Agil’s push continues, first taking the lead at 21-17, and then winning the set with Tolok (25-20). Monviso starts again more compact and aware of its means, while the Mosquitoes appear more contracted. First the guests give an initial break, taking the lead to 10-6, while the hammering continues which allows them to have a 5-point break (22-16). Novara tries to mend the game (22-18), but Davyskiba closes the set at 25-20. We start again with the two sextets paired (11-11), then it is Igor who scores 5 consecutive points with Cambi serving (16-11). Wash4green doesn’t stand by and comes back behind (20-19), but then it’s Alsmeier who closes 25-21. In the fourth set Monviso leads 5-1, however the home team recovers (8-8) and then takes the lead (18-15). Monviso cancels 3 match points in Novara, but Siftar’s error hands the match to the home sextet.
