CD&V wants twice as much bereavement leave for parents who lose a child. Mom Marieke (38) testifies: “I was completely uprooted when Febe (11) died”

Today, parents who lose a child are entitled to 10 days of bereavement leave. But that is more than insufficient, says CD&V MP Nahima Lanjri. She is submitting a bill to increase bereavement leave to 20 days. “Those first days I was only busy with giving Febe the funeral we gave her,” Marieke (38) tells HLN.
