For two Decembers, Zandvoort had to do without their ‘hotel tree’. “Once because of the death of an acquaintance. And I turned it off once around Christmas. There were too many disruptions then.”
‘Zandvoort cannot do without this tree’
Zandvoort residents notice this immediately. “They then react very disappointed. Even angry sometimes,” the Heiloo resident laughs. “Because if this tree isn’t hanging, it won’t feel like a full-fledged Christmas party here.”
