RRome, 9 December. (askanews) – Special evening at the Elysée Palace in Rome for the Immersive Disney Animation exhibition with surprise shows for VIPs and accompanying children. Meeting in the historic theater on Via Nazionale were Caterina Balivo with her daughter Cora, Lorena Bianchetti with little Estelle, Flora Canto with her children Martina and Niccolò, Alma Manera (proud of her nickname “Minnie”) with her Queen. And again, Laura Freddi and Bianca Guaccero, photographed in hilarious poses next to the myths of Disney animation, including a giant Mickey Mouse.
Immersive Disney Animation, the Roman exhibition also conquers Caterina Balivo (and daughter)
Before entering the heart of the immersive exhibition, the flashmob of the Milleunavoce group burst into the foyer, made up of very young musical artists, who made adults and children go wild with a medley of the most popular soundtracks of the American major. Afterwards, everyone inside the large portal of the exhibition, to relive the adventures of the most beloved Disney characters of all time among millions of bubbles falling from above, dazzling lights and special effects, for a maxi installation of 2,000 square meters, with 52 films in the foreground, 33 projectors and 300 operators involved in the production. Among the prominent interactive elements are the flooring sensitive to the movement of the public and personalized bracelets that light up in sync with the projections and movements of the visitors.
A record-breaking immersive experience
The project, signed by Lighthouse Immersive Studios in collaboration with Walt Disney Animation Studios, brought to Rome, the 25th stop of the exhibition and debut city for Europe, a record-breaking immersive experience, the result of a “stellar” creative team, led by Oscar-winning producer J. Miles Dale (Best Film 2018 for The Shape of Water) and formed by Disney Animation Special Projects Producer Dorothy McKim (twice winner of an Emmy) and Global Creative Director of Lighthouse Immersive Studios David Korins (Tony Award nominee for Hamilton and Emmy Award winner for Grease Live).
The exhibition will remain open until February 2026 but we are already thinking of a significant extension, given the repeated sold outs and over 1,500 daily admissions.
