Dorus Bauer has screwed his brother Frans Bauer in a bizarre way, but he still hopes that the folk singer will forgive him in the run-up to the holidays. “He responded in a positive way.”
The gossip that started this year about an alleged affair between Frans Bauer and Sieneke Peeters gained credibility because it turned out to come from his brother Dorus Bauer. He allegedly caught the two in the dressing room during a theater tour. “I saw for myself that they were fooling around with each other.”
Gossiping Dorus
That dressing room clicker Dorus was deeply involved in spreading adultery gossip was evident last year from a fifteen-minute (!) leaked telephone conversation in which he chatted about this with Sieneke’s angry ex Jan Baum. He states that Frans’ wife Mariska Bauer knows about it. “Mariska also stays with him because of the fame, that’s what it came down to.”
Mariska then reacted in surprise. “I don’t know what those two want to achieve with this,” she said during a telephone interview with RoddelPraat. “I think it’s a bit crazy. If something were going on, I should be the first to know. And I don’t understand why Dorus is cooperating with this.”
Grandchild
Apparently Dorus is sorry. Very sorry. After Dorus heard that Frans and Mariska will welcome their first grandchild next year, he sent his brother a message to congratulate him.
Dorus tells in the Story: “I also have two grandchildren myself, so I know how much fun it is to be a grandfather. So I thought: I would just send Frans a message to congratulate him. He responded immediately, in a very positive way. Previously we only texted about our mother, but now it was also about his son and his future grandchild.”
Reconciliation
Dorus does not rule out that contact with Frans will eventually be restored. “We both take good care of our mother. She enjoys being in the nursing home and we visit there regularly. Fortunately, she still recognizes us. That’s nice. We don’t get together there. Not yet. But I don’t rule out that this will happen again in the future.”
By the way, he has always kept in touch with Frans and Mariska’s children, Dorus concludes. “I also see them regularly. When it became known that their second eldest son Jan and his girlfriend Danique were expecting a son, I was already aware of this. Jan had already told me. Of course I will pay them a maternity visit as soon as the little one arrives.”
