After last week’s draw against Lokeren, Kortrijk wanted to get back to winning ways, but it was the home team that was the first to pose a threat after an incorrect pass by the visitors. Fortunately for Kortrijk, goalkeeper Ilic was in the right position straight away.

In a rainy and windy Liège, the home team showed a lot of initiative. After 20 minutes of play, Kortrijk also threatened again, with a cross from Van Landschoot. Lenn De Smet’s header went wide.

Liège was also able to benefit from stagnant phases. 1-0 via a corner, so the Guys went to rest with a deficit. The visitors also failed to score in the second half despite several (big) chances. Soelle made it 2-0 in injury time. For the first time this season, Kortrijk does not score.

Kortrijk thus loses the connection with Beveren, which now has a four-point lead.
