With nerves running through your throat, it may not be wise to drive yourself. And after a visit to a café with some alcoholic refreshments, that is certainly not convenient. Pub owner Robert Snijders from Het Café in New Amsterdam picked up his guests in a limousine today.

A nice gesture, considering that according to the operator, there are hardly any taxis during the weekend. But of course also practical for him: the nervous, thirsty Max Verstappen fans are more than welcome to fill his bar.

At stake today is the Formula 1 world title. Max Verstappen has been catching up with competitor Lando Norris since the Zandvoort Grand Prix. The Brit and the Dutchman only separated twelve points before the start.

“He can still win the world championship, so I certainly sympathize,” says an enthusiastic visitor. “But to be honest, I’m not a fan who watches, I prefer football,” he laughs while taking a sip of beer. Another visitor also seems to have come more for the fun: “It’s not really necessary for me. The rest drags me into this misery.”
