A basketball player Elias Valtonen26, was injured on Monday when the Finnish national team faced France in the World Cup qualifying match.
Valtonen injured himself right at the end of the match, and on Thursday the Finn’s club team, Spanish Granada, said that Valtonen’s right shoulder injury requires surgery and a long recovery period.
A small glimmer of light in the injury was that Valtonen was able to participate in Linna’s party because of it.
Valtonen arrived at the party with his right hand in a sling, and because of this he shook hands with the presidential couple with his left hand.
Valtonen said under Independence Day To the People of Satakunta that he is apparently the only Susijeng representative at Linna’s party.
– Let’s try to enjoy Linna’s celebrations with my partner now. Sports are sometimes such that injuries happen, Valtonen told Satakunta Kansa.
Valtonen has been a valuable player for Susijeng in recent years. He has represented Finland in both the European Championship and the World Championship.
