Last night, the police teams therefore checked four approach roads or shortcuts in the area in Kortrijk (Morinnestraat), Marke (Torkonjestraat), Kooigem (Doornikserijksweg) and Lendelede (Beukenlaan). All suspicious persons and vehicles, for example a foreign license plate, were subjected to a thorough check.
One driver had drugs with him, another deliberately drove through a red light, and three others had too much to drink. One of them tried to escape control at a speed of more than 150 km/h. He was intercepted and found to have had too much to drink. He also had no driver’s license. His vehicle suffered a wheel clamp.
