Pregnancy, it is the topic of conversation in the staff room of Novo campus Viso Polenplein. Fien Seys, teacher (27 weeks pregnant): “I think that is very special. It is my first child and it is actually nice because you feel like you have a safety net. You can ask each other questions. I have already received a lot of tips from them, for example about what you should and shouldn’t buy. About the baby list, but also about which vaccinations you should take.”
A bit of a shock
The management was shocked for a moment when the happy news kept coming. Veerle Vanoost, director of Nova campus Viso Polenplein: “I have never experienced this before. We have many female colleagues. On an annual basis we have about five to six pregnant colleagues, but eleven in six months, that is an absolute record.”
