Germany’s handball players have shone so far at the World Cup and are in the quarter-finals early. The German games in the knockout phase will be broadcast live on ARD and ZDF.

The selection of the German Handball Federation (DHB) has already made it into the quarter-finals – and is dreaming of more. At the quarter-finals in Dortmund, national coach Markus Gaugisch’s team has home advantage again. With a win and a place in the semi-finals, the first World Cup medal since 2007 would be very close.

The DHB team’s games in the knockout phase will be shown live on ARD and ZDF. The quarter-finals (December 9th) will be broadcast by ZDF.

Semi-finals and final with German participation live on ARD

A possible semi-final (Friday, December 12th) and the final (Sunday, December 14th) will then be shown on ARD with German participation, live on TV and in the stream.

The semi-finals and finals will take place in the Netherlands, at the Ahoy Arena in Rotterdam. The DHB team has shone in its previous performances, but also benefited from a grateful tournament tableau. The national coach called for us to continue looking from game to game. “We want to stay grounded because it’s good for us. We just look at our game and don’t dream.”

From the semi-finals at the latest, it could be against world-class teams like France or Denmark.
