Described as the best friend of actor and rapper Will Smith Bilal Salaam has been sued by his wife, an actress Jada Pinkett Smithto court, says Mirror.
According to the magazine, she is demanding 3 million dollars (approx. 2.6 million euros) from the actress, claiming that Pinkett Smith physically threatened her four years ago.
The challenge, filed this week, alleges that Pinkett Smith confronted Salaam in the lobby of a movie theater in September 2021 at Smith’s private 53rd birthday party. According to Salaam, Pinkett Smith had a convoy of about seven people with him at the time.
Salaam alleges that Pinkett Smith became verbally aggressive and threatened her, saying that if she didn’t stop “telling me personal things,” she “might disappear or get shot.”

Salaam says he plans to write a “whistleblower’s memoir” about his experiences around the couple, and he says he has experienced further threats as a result.
Salaam has said that he suffered financial loss, emotional distress, physical health problems and reputational damage and experienced “a complete derailment of his personal life and career”.
Salaam has previously made various claims about the Smith family. In 2023, she claimed on media personality Tasha K’s podcast that Smith had sex with actor Duane Martin years ago. According to Salaam, at that time he would have found the men having sex in Martin’s dressing room behind the scenes of a Hollywood production.
– He was like a deer in the headlights. He cursed when he saw me, Salaam claimed Smith reacted.
Smith disputed the claims made by Salaam.
– The claims are a complete lie, Smith’s representative commented to TMZ in 2023.
In addition, a TMZ source said that Smith is considering legal action in the matter.
