A truck left the road on Thursday evening in an accident with another truck on the A58 near Bergen op Zoom. The highway is closed.
The truck that left the road crashed into the back of another truck that was parked on the emergency lane. The driver has been taken to hospital for a check-up.
The accident left a lot of rubbish and oil on the road. The road needs to be cleared. Traffic can then pass through again after which the road will be closed again for the recovery.
The ambulance and fire brigade responded to the accident. The highway is closed towards Roosendaal. Traffic heading to Breda must detour from the Zoomland junction via Rotterdam on the A4, A59, A17 and A16.
