Israel will take part in the Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna next year. That is the outcome of the general meeting of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) in Geneva. The decision is immediately felt: the Dutch, Spanish, Irish and Slovenian broadcasters have now announced that they will not participate in the upcoming edition. The French-language broadcaster RTBF, which may send a candidate on behalf of Belgium in 2026, will take a position “in the coming days”.
