This year’s competition brought together 2,200 cheeses from 23 countries, judged by a jury of 630 members. The Ancienne Belgiquea matured Gouda cheese, received a perfect score of 100 out of 100. Groendals also Old Roeselare achieved gold. That cheese made world news a few years ago when an American astronaut took it to the ISS.
