The East Flanders public prosecutor’s office is investigating two Dendermonde general practitioners, LT (68) and JB (64), for unlawfully prescribing medication. It is said to be fentanyl, one of the most powerful painkillers in the world. It ended up with a detainee, resulting in a fatal overdose and a judicial investigation. “It left a deep impression,” says lawyer Walter Damen, who represents LT.
