The dream of defending the title is alive for VfB Stuttgart. The reigning DFB Cup winners won their round of 16 against VfL Bochum 2-0 (1-0) and are in the last eight of the competition.
Philipp Strompf (12, own goal) and Deniz Undav (47.) scored the goals in the Bundesliga duel on Wednesday evening for the Swabians, who were also able to play in the majority for one half of the game after an early red card for Bochum’s unlucky Strompf (45.+1 / emergency brake).
