After four years in Finland, midfielder Florian Krebs (26) is moving to the Bulgarian capital Sofia. The Berlin native will join CSKA 1948, which is currently in second place in the Efbet League, on a free transfer in the new year.

In the past two seasons, Krebs played for FC Inter Turku, with whom he won the Liigacup twice and reached the runner-up position last season. This year, the midfielder, who trained at Hertha and later also played for the Dortmund reserves, contributed six goals and nine assists in 37 appearances. At CSKA, Krebs meets ex-Düsseldorfer Andre Hoffmann (32), who is in the center of defense.

“We have been watching Florian Krebs very closely for some time after we noticed his data in the system. Flo can play several positions in central midfield, whether six, eight or ten. What sets him apart above all is his very clean technique, ball security and high level of game intelligence. We have seen in several games how he attacks the spaces that open up to him very well. Florian is also a leader on the field who directs his teammates well in the game. We are really looking forward to this profile,” said Kaderplaner Valeri Hubchev, the son of ex-Bundesliga professional Petar.

“After four great years in Finland, it is time for my family and me to start a new chapter. We had already had a good exchange with CSKA in the summer. The president here has big goals, the team is currently second in the table, Andre Hoffmann is already a German player in the team and the squad planner Valeri grew up in Germany,” Krebs explained his decision.
