Jokerit made the winning bid in Gramex’s and JVG’s Value of Music campaign auction.

Jokerit, a former KHL club, now playing in Mestis, made the highest bid for JVG’s song in Gramex’s Music Value campaign.

In October, Gramex and JVG launched the Value of Music campaign, where the new song was sold only as one vinyl single to a willing buyer. The buyer was not chosen based on the amount alone, but based on who can justify the meaning of the music.

The jokers’ offer was 15,500 euros.

The song will be played at the next home game of the Jokers on December 20.

– The choice was not easy! It was important to us that the song encourages movement and creates a sense of community at matches and elsewhere. In addition, Jokerit as a buyer shows in practice that the juxtaposition of music, culture and sports, or really anything else, is pointless in this time: cooperation can achieve more. Without music, there wouldn’t be half the atmosphere in the hall, JVG’s Jare Brand explained in the press release.

The proceeds of the auction will be directed to Rock Camp ry, which offers young people a low threshold for band activities all over Finland.
