Orimattilan Panimo Oy has been declared bankrupt. This is evident from the insolvency register maintained by the Legal Registry Center. The company has used the name Orimattilan Lato in its operations.
The company itself filed for bankruptcy at the Päijät-Häme district court on November 14. The district court issued a decision to start the procedure last Thursday, November 27.

The small brewery, which has been operating since 2020, had a turnover of around 130,000 euros last year, but the accounting period was loss-making. Orimattila Sanomat according to the company has approximately 120,000 euros in debt. The debt is practically entirely to Myrskylä Savings Bank.

Hobby-based activities were not found to be profitable and the enjoyment disappeared.

Statistics Finland’s latest bankruptcy data is from October, when 349 bankruptcies were filed in Finland. This is nine more bankruptcies than in the same period last year.
In January–September of the current year, almost 2,500 bankruptcies were initiated.

According to Appelqvist, an improvement in employment is expected for next year, not only in the economic forecasts of companies but also of economists.
Despite the improving forecasts, the last few years have been challenging for the brewing industry. Earlier this year, Iltalehti reported, among other things, about the bankruptcy filing of Olaf Brewing, a small brewery known for Nato beer.
