TBV Lemgo Lippe is still in good form and has also impressed Master Füchse Berlin.

The East Westphalia team prevailed in the capital on Sunday with 34:33 (16:14) and moved past the Füchsen (20:8) with 21:7 points. As fourth in the table, TBV is level on points with third place THW Kiel. For fifth-placed Berlin it was a bitter setback in the title race and in the fight for a Champions League place. At Lemgo, Hendrik Wagner was the best thrower with eight goals, at Berlin it was Mathias Gidsel with eight goals as well.

Foxes surprisingly agile in attack

The Foxes made an unusually large number of mistakes in attack against a very attentive guest defense. In addition to a missed seven-meter penalty and a few passing errors, the hosts only hit the frame of the goal three times in the first half. Lemgo punished these mistakes coldly and the Foxes fell behind by three goals in the 24th minute (12:15).

After the break, the Foxes acted more consistently in attack, but were still barely able to stop coach Florian Kehrmann’s team. So they continued to lag behind. But the Berliners fought and actually equalized after a long time three minutes before the end (31:31). But in the hectic final phase they made too many mistakes and ended up losing.

Next top game against Flensburg

The next highlight game for the TBV is on Thursday (December 4th/7 p.m.). Lemgo welcomes second-placed SG Flensburg-Handewitt in its own hall.
