Ice hockey legend Timo Jutila, 61, had his lifestyle overhauled recently on MTV3 You are what you eat in an episode of the series.
Now that more than half a year has passed since the filming, the change in lifestyle is still liked.
– The mood is good and cheerful. This goes on in the same way. Nothing has changed from what we started doing last spring, that has gone well, says Jutila by phone.
According to Jutila, the biggest effect of doctor Pippa Lauka’s instructions was the change in eating rhythm.
In the past, you could only eat at Jutila once a day.
– A couple of hundred days a year, when those travel chores are done, we only went with one meal, he explained to Iltalehte at the program’s press conference.
– Breakfast will already be eaten. I try to eat five times a day smaller portions and then those fruits and vegetables. Paprika and carrot, a lot of them are now gone, he says now.
– There’s meat and sausage too, but those relationships have now changed to the way they should be, he adds.
Jutila didn’t initially digest the nutritional recommendation, according to which it would be good to eat 800 grams of greens and vegetables a day.
– It seemed impossible at first, but you shouldn’t eat it all at once. Take a banana in the morning, make a paprika-carrot-cucumber-tomato-onion salad during the day, and then take a pineapple or another banana in the evening, that’s where it starts, Jutila advises.

As a result of the eight-week lifestyle renovation, Jutila’s weight dropped nine and a half kilos. Jutila does not reveal her current weight, but says that the direction is right.
– The drop will certainly continue. These are not 100 meter runs, these are marathons. We proceed with the same formula.
Jutila’s sugary drinks were especially the cause of the crash. He has completely given up on them.
– That came to a stop. It ran out last spring and so did the chocolate, it’s been two years now. Caramels have also been left out.
When you ask Jutila what she is enjoying these days, the answer is obvious.
– Rilli. Let’s have fun, that’s what a young man has to do. We can’t give up everything here. It’s quite clear.
Timo Jutila used to drink sugary sodas almost every day.
Jutila tells Iltalehte that otherwise everyday life slowly begins to focus on celebrating Christmas.
– Let’s put on the elf hat and start having a good time. Then, when we move towards spring and those golf courses open, next season we will hit that ball violently in the air.
Exercise will also be practiced in the winter with the Hyrox training format promoted by Jutila and jogging with Jack Russell terrier Andy McCoy. Despite the lifestyle overhaul, traditional foods are feasted on at Christmas.
– Christmas is Christmas and yes, Christmas is celebrated with Christmas presents.
