Davina Michelle seems to be betraying herself: she is so vague about a possible participation in the Eurovision Song Contest that, according to experts, it already seems complete. “This is a yes.”

The AvroTros shouted from the rooftops that they would skip the Eurovision Song Contest if Israel participates again next year, but they are now secretly backing down a bit. Behind the scenes, work continues on next year’s edition, and Davina Michelle seems to be the next entry.

‘We’ll wait!’

Davina is acting really uncomfortable Show news asks her about her possible participation. “The Eurovision Song Contest is still a big question mark anyway, so… I had previously said: ‘Even if I were going to do it, I wouldn’t say that yet.’ It’s still a big question mark.”

She continues: “It’s also nice if it remains a surprise who will do it. Yes, what I’m saying: I can now also say: ‘I haven’t submitted anything’, because I have submitted something, but what I’m saying: it’s still such a big question mark… We’re all going to wait and see, right?”

‘This is a yes’

Telegraaf reporter Jordi Versteegden finds it significant. “This is just a yes.”

Presenter Airen Mylene: “Her non-verbal is really like: ‘Yes, no, no idea.’ She wears her heart on her sleeve. This must be the hardest thing for her. If it has already reached the point or is in the pipeline that she is going to do it, this is difficult.”

Show expert Eline de Ruig: “Remember last year with Claude? Every time the management said: ‘No, it’s really not going to happen!’, but in the end it was.”

‘Would be great’

Airen would think it was a very good choice to send Davina to the song festival. “How crazy would it be?”

Colleague Patty Brard: “Insane. It would also be that one step further for her international career.”

More will be known about the Dutch participation in the Eurovision Song Contest later this week.
