In the last minute of injury time, AZ still got the chance to end the otherwise mediocre match with a good feeling. “It is of course a charged moment. We didn’t actually make any attempts to equalize. But then the penalty kick comes and Troy scores a lot of goals for us. I entrust him with that penalty. He is also our number one. The choice he makes is up to him.”
Other choice
Mijnans himself would probably have made a different choice in such a situation. “I’m not really into markers myself. I’m not very good at that either. I prefer to shoot it in hard. I think that increases the chance,” Mijnans says finally.
