More and more Dutch people are discovering the charm of the Baltic states. And rightly so. In the summer it is not nearly as hot as in Southern Europe, while it is much more affordable for heat avoiders than Scandinavia. Lithuanian Vilnius has recently become the largest capital of the three Baltic Sea countries, although with 600,000 inhabitants it feels pleasantly cozy. It is strikingly hip and green.
