Coca-Cola sent an official offer for a sponsorship agreement to the four biggest clubs in Türkiye, Galatasaray, Fenerbahçe, Beşiktaş and Trabzonspor. However, the claret-blue team did not respond positively to this suggestion.

According to the information obtained, Trabzonspor President Ertuğrul Doğan responded negatively to the offer from Coca-Cola. It was stated that the management’s decision in this direction became clear after the evaluations made within the club.

It was learned that the reason why Trabzonspor rejected the offer was the child deaths in Palestine and the boycott calls in Türkiye. The claret-blue management conveyed its decision not to accept the agreement, taking into account social sensitivities.
President Ertuğrul Doğan, the president of the claret-blue club, made a statement about the rejection decision. “What happened in Palestine and Gaza is clear. I did not have the heart for such an agreement.” he said.
