The big series finale is here

“Stranger Things” fans are currently getting their money’s worth in every respect. Because the big end of the saga is approaching: The first four episodes of the fifth and final season have been available on Netflix since November 26th. Episodes 5 to 7 will follow on December 26th at 2 p.m. The finale will air on New Year’s Day.

In interviews, the series makers have already confirmed a time jump of 18 months between the end of the fourth and the beginning of the fifth season. All characters have returned to Hawkins and are living under military quarantine. The makers also confirmed to Variety that the finale will be around two hours long.

The grand finale is also intended to clarify central questions: What exactly is the “Upside Down” from which the series’ monsters and villains come from? And can the beloved series heroes defeat it in the end?
