One of the most talked about aspects of the 2024 Palace celebrations was the orange lights that shone brightly in the State Hall of the Presidential Palace.

At the time, the renewed lighting sparked discussion on social media. Many were surprised by the more colorful lighting than before, which was revealed to the public in the television broadcast. The commenting was sometimes quite austere and even low-key. However, the majority of Iltalehti’s readers were in favor of a new kind of lighting.
