In the last sixteen, Vandromme faces the Bulgarian Elizara Yaneva (WTA 380). In her first round she defeated the Romanian Elena Ruxandra Bertea (WTA 304) in two sets (6-3 and 6-0).
Vandromme is the only Belgian in singles in Slovakia. Jana Otzipka (WTA 607) did not make it through the qualifications. The twenty-year-old from Antwerp is on the main table of doubles. She qualified for the quarter-finals on Tuesday, alongside the Estonian Elena Malygina.
