After his substitution, Frankfurt goes under

For a long time it looked as if Frankfurt could hope for their second home win. But within six minutes they not only lost their striker, but also conceded three goals.
Eintracht Frankfurt suffered another setback in the Champions League. On matchday 5, the Hessians lost 3-0 at home against Atalanta Bergamo.
All three goals conceded came within six minutes, during which the SGE seemed to be off its game. First, ex-Leipzig player Ademola Lookman scored to give the Italians the lead (60th). Just 93 seconds later, Ederson increased the score to 2-0 from the visitors’ perspective (62′). Charles De Ketelaere scored the final point (65′).
But it wasn’t just the clear result that dampened the mood of coach Dino Toppmöller’s team. After almost an hour, DFB striker Jonathan Burkardt had to leave the field injured and supported by two supervisors. Burkhardt couldn’t really perform.
“It looks like Johnny has a muscle injury in his calf. We’ll have to wait for the MRI tomorrow,” said Toppmöller after the game in Frankfurt. After Burkardt’s substitution, Frankfurt conceded three goals. “It’s clear that Johnny is important for us. Nevertheless, we have to put more pressure on the ball afterwards. You have to say, it was a very weak second half,” said captain Robin Koch at DAZN.
Another offensive player has been missing for weeks in Can Uzun (muscle injury). He could return next week, however.
In front of 59,500 spectators, Toppmöller surprisingly fielded the same starting eleven as in the away win in Cologne four days earlier (4:3). And they had more possession of the ball at the beginning against the “friends” from Bergamo. Farès Chaibi had his first chance after ten minutes when he shot too centrally. Then Ritsu Doan found Robin Koch after a short corner, who headed just over the goal (15th).
Eintracht slowly but surely got going offensively, with the nimble Doan in particular causing problems for Atalanta with his speedy dribbling. Suddenly Eintracht had a problem: First Lookman shot completely free in front of Michael Zetterer at the post, a few seconds later Gianluca Scamacca hit the aluminum in almost the same place (35th).
