Defending champions Berlin Recycling Volleys made it into the semi-finals of the DVV Cup without any problems.

The volleyball series champion won 3-0 (25:15, 25:16, 25:17) in the round of the last eight against Bundesliga promoted SV Warnemünde, who were still without points. SVG Lüneburg, record winners VfB Friedrichshafen and SWD powervolleys Düren also celebrated favorite victories.

Düren, who were only stopped by the Berliners in the final last year and are leaders in the VBL, did not show any weakness in the 3-0 (25:20, 25:13, 25:22) at MTV Ludwigsburg. Friedrichshafen won 3-0 (25:22, 25:19, 25:17) at FT 1844 Freiburg. Lüneburg retained the upper hand in the Lower Saxony derby against the Helios Grizzlys Giesen with 3-0 (25:19, 25:23, 30:28).

Lüneburg and Düren as well as Friedrichshafen and Berlin will meet in the semi-finals, as determined by the draw after the quarter-finals. The games are scheduled for December 16th and 17th. The final in Mannheim will take place on February 28, 2026.

The Stralsund Wildcats’ run in the women’s cup is over. The team from Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania was the first second division team in 20 years to reach the quarter-finals, but had no chance against Bundesliga leaders Allianz MTV Stuttgart with a 0-3 defeat (15:25, 14:25, 14:25). The Swabians will play against SSC Palmberg Schwerin on December 9th for a place in the final.
