The idea of King Churros is simple: churros, poffertjes and waffles that are freshly prepared after your order. Natalie says: “I started entrepreneurship when I was eighteen. I then took over a branch of a catering franchise and ran it during the corona period, while I was still studying. As a result, I have experienced many obstacles and learned a lot about entrepreneurship.”
This is how you start a pancake shop
After five successful years with her franchise, it was time for something new. “I wanted a company where I could put my own spin on it, implement my own idea.” Then Natalie sold the franchise and started something completely new. Since May 2025 you will find King Churros in Stadshart Zoetermeer.
“The churros, poffertjes and waffles are freshly prepared after your order. You can choose your own flavors and toppings. Atmospheric tasting
At King Churros you will find an attractive place to pick up a hot delicacy. “I have a nice team with all nice girls. They prepare all the snacks with love. Many nice friendships are formed in the workplace.”
“Stadshart Zoetermeer has a family atmosphere, many families and children come here who want something tasty after school. We only have nice customers and it is also very pleasant with the other entrepreneurs in the city center.”
Big plans
King Churros has been around for less than a year, but Natalie is already working hard to expand her business. She starts with the menu: “From next year we will also be selling cotton candy and syrup waffles, and corn dogs for those with a savory appetite.”
Natalie also sees global potential for her Zoetermeer business. “I also want to start growing to multiple locations next year. My dream is that King Churros can be found in various places in the Netherlands, but also in America, for example.”

Proud of King Churros
Entrepreneurship is in Natalie’s blood. “I am proud of myself, because I know that I will never give up on entrepreneurship. There is always a new plan. I am very happy with the concept of King Churros and how my team and I put our own spin on it together. My team now knows very well how everything works, I can leave them alone to run the business. That is very nice, because I am going on maternity leave soon.”
Naturally, Natalie is also proud of her product. “Our customers all really enjoy them. Our snacks are ideal for snacking on a bench between shopping. Now that I’m pregnant, I can no longer eat them myself, but I’m looking forward to snacking again during work!”
