A van veered out of the bend on the Bloemberg in Veeningen and came to a stop against the facade of a former restaurant. The facade of the building was severely damaged.

Around 7.30 am something went wrong on the Bloemberg in Veeningen. The van missed the bend, then crashed into a flower box and finally rammed into a rubble waste container. The container was drilled into the facade of the former Poortman restaurant, causing significant damage to the facade.

The driver was treated by ambulance personnel, but did not require hospital treatment. No other persons were injured. The police are investigating the exact cause of the accident.
