The wife of British businessman Richard Branson has died.

75-year-old Branson Joan-wife was 80 years old when she died.
– I am sad to say that Joan, my wife and partner for 50 years, has passed away, Branson writes.
In his publication, Branson praises that Joan was a wonderful mother and grandmother to her children and grandchildren.
– He was my best friend, my rock, my guiding light, my world. Love you forever, Joan, Branson writes.

Branson and his wife were married in 1989. They have two children: Holly44, and Sam40.
The couple’s first child died four days after birth.
Branson is known especially for his Virgin brand focused on travel, entertainment and lifestyle.
Branson has visited Finland numerous times. In 2012, Branson hinted at the Jyväskylä Pavilion that he could expand Virgin’s business to Finland.
– We are constantly expanding the Virgin Mobile company, so maybe we will come to Finland and take one of your telecom operators off the market, Branson stated with a smile.
