Restaurant Rascasse in Kapellen is struggling with ‘cancellation plague’: “27 cancellations in one week”

With a score of 14.5 out of 20, Rascasse boasts in the latest culinary guide from Gault&Millau. However, that does not mean all roses and moonshine for the restaurant from Kapellen in Antwerp. The establishment is increasingly confronted with guests who cancel their reservations at the last minute. “We can hardly force them to pay,” says hostess Caroline Claeys (47). “Although we want to make it clear with an appeal that you still make a commitment when you book something somewhere.”
