Private boss Evert Santegoeds is at the desk at Shownieuws at all times, but we never actually see him appear in other programs. There is only one celebrity show that he likes…
Evert Santegoeds is hardly seen in programs other than his own Shownieuws. He appeared a while ago on competitor RTL Boulevard, but that was because he was in the news because of his Alexia and Antoon cover. We do not see the editor-in-chief of Privé appear in celebrity programs or quizzes. Why is that anyway?
Evert doesn’t have time
There is simply not enough time for this, Evert explains in the podcast Strictly Private. “I am sometimes asked to do things, but people are mistaken: I am quite busy. Then you have to go to Norway for two weeks for some kind of survival program. Then I think: no, I have to go on holiday myself.”
Nowadays the magazine maker can be found all the time on Gran Canaria, the favorite holiday island for older gay men. Evert showed up there last summer in a gay hotel, wearing an extremely tight Speedo.
Rehearsal schedule
There is only one program that does have a good chance with Evert, namely Maestro, in which celebrities play conductors. Unfortunately, that didn’t work out either.
He concludes: “Maestro gave me the rehearsal schedule and I thought: how on earth am I going to do that? Not. There was no way to deviate from it, because you have to have that hall and that orchestra. Everything is a matter of trial and error. I would have really liked that.”
