Real Madrid is past its big rival from Barcelona again. With the draw against Elche, the winless streak across all competitions continues for the time being.
Real Madrid has regained the lead in the Spanish league, but remains winless for the third time in a row after an entertaining 2-2 (0-0) draw at FC Elche. The team of former Leverkusen coach Xabi Alonso had a lot of trouble against the promoted team.
In a hectic final phase, in which Elche’s Víctor Chust also received a yellow-red card in the sixth minute of injury time, Jude Bellingham saved at least a point for the leaders. The England international scored the final score in the 87th minute. The hosts had previously taken the lead twice through Aleix Febas (53rd minute) and Álvaro (83rd). Dean Huijsen had equalized for Real (78′).
