The Los Angeles Lakers were looking for a victory at the Delta Center, when the Utah Jazz finally bowed with a score of 106-108. Five days earlier, the Lakers won the meeting between the teams 140–126.
The biggest point threat of the match was once again the Lakers’ Luka Doncicwho bagged 33 points. In addition, the superstar collected 11 rebounds and gave seven assists.
Lauri Markkanen (20) was only Doncic’s fourth best scorer of the match this time, Keyonte George (27) and by Austin Reaves after (22). However, the Finn again collected more points than the sports legend LeBron James (17).
In addition to points, Markkanen’s statistics included seven rebounds and two assists.
The Finn was also successful in the defensive end. He once stopped Reaves, among other things, when he tried to lift the ball into the basket from close range. Markkanen slapped the ball away at the last moment, and Utah shared a video clip of the situation on the messaging service X.
