Colombia is trying to put the finishing touches to the final text already adopted at the climate summit: “We cannot ignore science”

The UN climate summit COP30 in Belém resulted in an agreement after difficult negotiations, but an exit from fossil fuels was not explicitly mentioned. As a result, Colombia decided to resist afterwards. The closing plenary meeting is therefore adjourned for deliberation. It is unclear how to proceed now. The texts had already been hammered out, which normally means that they were accepted.
